Scrabble WiFi – Case Study
Scrabble created a WIFI game to engage customers and to promote good spelling. They created WIFI hot-spots in places where you couldn’t get internet but you had to play the scrabble game to unlock WIFI minutes. The password to the WIFI was a scrabble word that had to be deciphered, the longer the word, the longer the WIFI access.
Scrabble gave away over 100 000 WIFI minutes in exchange for 6000 words that were deciphered by mobile users.
